The ordinary Esterbrook Niblet already puts a full-size nib in a pocket-size pen. This one goes further and puts a hand-ground nib there too. Choose the Journaler a medium stub shaped by Gena Salorino at Custom Nib Studio or the Mini Stub, a tighter grind for smaller handwriting. Available in the warm amber shell of Tortoise and the matte darkness of Black Raven.

You get line variation from a pen that lives in a coat pocket, which is a slightly absurd proposition and a thoroughly enjoyable one. Post the cap on its threads and the balance is proper, so a hand-ground stub never feels like a novelty. Your shopping lists are about to look considerably more impressive than they deserve to.

Precision in the Details

• Hand-ground, not machine-made: Every Journaler nib is shaped individually at Custom Nib Studio from the profile of the vintage Esterbrook 9314M. You always get genuine character in the line.
• A stub scaled to the page: The Mini Stub gives you the broad-down, fine-across contrast of a stub without swamping smaller handwriting. Don’t assume you need to write large to enjoy it.
• Still properly pocket-sized: 108mm capped, screwing down to the barrel when posted. The pen never comes apart in a bag and the nib never dries out.

Please note: The specialty nib replaces the standard nib rather than accompanying it.
