Most of us spend rather too little time looking up. The BGM Sky Illustrated Book Double Foil Masking Tape brings the sky down to the page instead, painting it in watercolour washes and picking out every glint of light in two tones of foil. It belongs to BGM’s Sora Zukan series, which treats the sky as something worth cataloguing properly.

You can choose Dusk, a sunset of coral and violet with rays breaking over a distant ridge, or Fireworks, a navy night lit by bursts of gold above a glittering bay. The washi paper feels soft and thin under your fingertip, tears cleanly by hand and lifts away again if you change your mind.

Beauty Meets Function

• Light that really shines: Two tones of foil catch the lamp as you turn the page, so your sunsets and fireworks always glow in a way flat print never quite manages.
• A sky in every strip: Each 20mm band is a complete little landscape, so a single length turns a plain journal header or envelope into a view.
• Forgiving when you’re not sure: You lift it, move it and press it down again, and it never tears the paper beneath.
