Wisteria has a talent for making an ordinary wall look like the frontispiece of a Victorian novel. The BGM Kusakabana Botanical Foil Masking Tape in Wisteria attempts the same trick on paper, drawing on the Japanese tradition of the botanical album, which is what kusakabana loosely means.

Purple blooms trail from dark, twisting stems across a pale cream ground, with foil picking out the finer lines so they glint as you turn the page. The washi paper feels soft and fibrous under your fingertip, tears cleanly by hand and lifts away again whenever you change your mind.

Small Details, Big Difference

• A botanical print to keep: The detailed wisteria pattern turns a margin, an envelope or a pressed-flower page into something that looks properly curated.
• Foil in all the right places: Gleaming accents catch the light without ever overwhelming the illustration.
• Kind to your pages: You can reposition it as often as you like, and it never tears the paper beneath.
