From iconic Japanese brand MT Masking Tape comes this delightfully cheerful mt SOUSOU design: Zou (), meaning elephant. A parade of gently illustrated elephants ambles across a sunshine-yellow background, bringing a small but definite smile to your page.

Made in Japan from traditional rice paper, this decorative washi tape is light, flexible and pleasingly obedient. You tear it by hand, reposition it without drama and write on it with ease. It never overcomplicates matters which, in stationery, is rather a virtue.

Use it to frame journal entries, brighten envelopes, personalise gift wrap or tame unruly cables with unexpected elegance. Its practical, yes but its also a tiny strip of Kyoto design heritage on a 7m roll.
