Emperor’s Torch Waratah is a stunning native shrub that has a vigorous and open growth habit. This dazzling shrub features toothed green leathery leaves that contrast beautifully with the masses of large, vibrant red blooms. Due to its height, Emperor’s Torch is perfect for screens or massed planting. The beautiful flowers are very popular in floral arrangements due to their straight long stems and the uniformity of their flower heads. Cultivated waratahs require heavy pruning once established – it is recommended to cut them back after flowering.
