The Stilform AEON Pencil is the object that started all this, and it remains the studio’s cleverest idea. A titanium body, a slim band of wood veneer where your fingers rest, and a tip held in place by nothing but a magnet. Pull it off, put another on, and the pencil changes character entirely graphite for drawing, the Eternal tip for writing that never needs sharpening. It has collected an iF Award, a Red Dot and a good deal of admiration along the way.

At 134.6mm it is pencil-length rather than pen-length, and the titanium gives it a cool, serious heft. The flat sides keep it still on a sloping desk, and the magnetic tip comes away with a satisfying resistance pulling it off is something you will find yourself doing absent-mindedly in meetings. It arrives with a graphite tip (HB) fitted and ready to write.

Tools for Big Thinking

• Change the tip, change the tool: Swapping between graphite and the Eternal tip takes a second no sharpener, no shavings, no interruption to the thought you were having.
• Titanium that will outlast the desk: It is solid metal with no plastic parts, so the pencil simply never wears out; only the tips are ever consumed.
• Wood where it matters: A veneer band sits exactly where your fingers grip, so the pencil never feels cold or slippery in use.

Please note: supplied with one graphite tip (HB). Replacement graphite tips and the Eternal tip are available separately.
