Rhaphiolepis Oriental Pink, commonly known as Oriental Pink Indian Hawthorn, is a hardy evergreen shrub valued for its compact habit, glossy foliage, and soft pink floral display. This bushy, low-growing shrub produces abundant clusters of mid-pink flowers from late winter through spring, creating a soft, colourful display above its dense foliage. The leaves are leathery, dark green and glossy, often emerging with a slight reddish tint before maturing, adding seasonal interest even when the plant is not in bloom. With its naturallycompact and tidy growth habit, it is ideal for low hedges, borders, mass plantings, or containers. Its dense foliage provides good coverage, making it perfect for creating neat garden edges or filling landscape spaces with minimal upkeep. Its durability also makes it a popular choice forplanting around saltwater pools, as it copes well with reflected heat and light salt exposure.
