Platanus acerifolia Bloodgood, commonly known as the Bloodgood London Plane, is a robust deciduous tree valued for its impressive size, attractive foliage, and resilience in urban landscapes. It features large, three-lobed, toothed leaves that emerge a rich dark green in spring and summer before transforming into warm shades of yellow, orange, and red in autumn. Adding to its ornamental appeal is the trees distinctive bark, which naturally exfoliates as it matures, revealing a striking patchwork of cream, olive, and grey tones that provide year-round visual interest. Its broad canopy creates generous shade, making it a popular choice for city parks, streetscapes, and large public spaces. With its combination of strong structure, ornamental bark, and vibrant seasonal foliage, Platanus acerifolia Bloodgood is a dependable and visually striking shade tree for larger gardens and urban plantings
