Papier Platz has a happy habit of handing a roll of tape to a Japanese illustrator and seeing what comes back. Papier Platz Illustrator Masking Tape gathers three of the results: a cosy room by Nakauchi Waka, the contents of a handbag by Nico Recipe, and some very bread-like bunnies by Shinako Moriyama.

Nakauchi Waka’s Dog and Interior lines up shelves of books, clocks, a camera and a small curly-haired dog in soft, watercolour browns. Nico Recipe, a hanko stamp artist, fills Inside a Bag with pouches, purses, keys, pencils and the odd teddy bear. Shinako Moriyama’s Bunny Loaf alternates plump rabbits with loaves of bread on a pale mint ground, and it is surprisingly difficult to tell which is which. Each roll tears cleanly between your fingertips and lays flat on the page with a soft, papery finish.

Designed with You (and Your Ideas) in Mind

• Three artists, three moods: Choose the quiet interior, the busy handbag or the bakery bunnies, or keep all three on your desk so you never run short of the right mood for a page.
• Tear, stick, rethink: The tape tears neatly by hand and lifts again if you change your mind, so your layouts always stay forgiving.
• Seven metres per roll: Plenty for borders, envelope seals and gift wrap, with enough left over for snipping out a favourite motif or two.
