Musa Blue Java is a fast-growing, cold-tolerant banana also known as the Ice Cream Banana, thanks to its deliciously sweet flavour and creamy, custard-like texture. Native to Southeast Asia, Blue Java is a hardy hybrid with striking bubblegum-blue skins that turn yellow as the fruit ripens. Inside, the pale yellow flesh is smooth, creamy and aromatic, with a delightful vanilla-like flavour. A fantastic choice for home gardens where you want an unusual, productive and delicious banana variety.

Soil: Well-draining, nutrient-rich soil.

Conditions: Full sun. Thrives in tropical and subtropical regions but can tolerate cooler climates better than most bananas. Frost tender.
