Musa Dwarf Red Dacca Banana brings a tropical touch to even the smallest backyard, with a compact growth habit and deliciously sweet little bananas. This dwarf red-skinned variety produces fruit that ripens from burgundy to rich orange, revealing creamy pale orange-pink flesh inside. The small, sweet bananas are delicious eaten fresh when fully ripe, or cooked, baked, fried or toasted while still green. Red bananas are also naturally rich in beta-carotene and vitamin C. A member of the Cool Bananas range, Dwarf Red Dacca has shown promise in cooler urban areas such as Sydney and Melbourne, making it an exciting choice for gardeners who thought bananas needed a tropical climate.
