A revolutionary new Crepe Myrtle, Diamonds in the Dark Best Red features magnificent near-black foliage that emerges in early spring, followed by masses of vivid red blooms from summer until the first frost. The leaves provide excellent contrast with magnificent orange and red tonings as the foliage dies off in autumn. Its compact growth habit makes it attractive as a flowering hedge or plant en masse for a stand-out show-stopping visual display. It is perfect for a beautiful tree to line the driveway planting and in decorative pots on the deck, porch or balcony.
