The Hobonichi Stappo Mini is the smaller of the two standing pouches, built for a desk where space is already spoken for. It stands up on its own and the lid folds back wide, so the contents present themselves rather than having to be excavated. A loop on the side lets you hang it instead of standing it.

The front pocket takes flat things, clips, stickers, a spare index card. Inside there is length for pens and a ruler alongside a wider pocket for erasers and sticky notes, and a back pocket for whatever you reach for most. The lid closes with hook-and-loop, which means one hand and no ceremony. It holds noticeably more than its footprint suggests.

Clever Details That Count

• It stays upright and open: You stop tipping a pouch onto the desk to find one thing, because everything inside is visible from above the moment you fold the lid back.
• It claims almost no desk: You can park it between a monitor stand and a mug, and it still swallows your pens, erasers and tape without spreading out.
• Hang it or stand it: You clip it to a shelf hook or a peg when the desk is full, and the contents stay just as reachable as when it is standing.

Please note: overfilling strains the seams, so keep bulkier items for the full-size Stappo.
