The Hobonichi Bookband for Weeks solves a small problem completely. A Weeks book thickens as the year fills it, and at some point it stops staying shut in a bag. The band is cow leather and elastic, stamped with the Hobo logo, with two clasp holes so it still fits in December as comfortably as it did in January.

Two leather loops on the front hold pens, sized for a 12 mm barrel and stretching to take 13 mm. The leather is stiff at first and gives within a week or two, settling into the shape of your book. Classic is undyed, so it darkens steadily with handling: the only one of the six that keeps a record of the year alongside the book it holds.

Please note: until the dye settles, coloured leather can mark light fabrics, especially if it gets wet.
