  • Hobonichi Weeks ENG
  • This Weeks book feels just like carrying around an original print artwork by picture book author Akiko Miyakoshi.

The soft spring light, shadows cast by fresh green leaves, and a breeze gently carrying soap bubbles… The overlapping of colours is incredibly soothing, sparking your imagination to wonder what kind of expressions the rabbits are wearing and what they might be talking about.

This is a spring scene of my eldest daughter playing with a new friend she made when she was around two years old, Miyakoshi says. I drew the happiness of her making a friend right after we moved, along with the joy of springs arrival.

The cover has a rough, canvas-like texture and is constructed as a light hardcover with some give to it. The year 2027 is foil-pressed in a sparkling red. The spine is also foil-pressed with 2027 and the words Unforgettable Moments. the creative concept behind the series.

The Hobonichi Techo Weeks comes with a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.

The pages are made of thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper that holds ink well, providing a smooth writing experience.

In addition to the monthly calendars and weekly pages, there are also plenty of grid-lined memo pages.

The back of the book contains bonus pages. Both the Japanese and English editions feature standard favourites like My 100 and the 365 Days Check-Off Sheet, as well as new additions like Phrases to Break That Writers Block and the Hobonichis Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map, among others.

If youd like to customise the look of your Weeks or add space to store accessories, you can pair it with a Weeks cover.

The Akiko Miyakoshi series includes techo covers, a Weeks, pencil boards, and a notebook. We hope you’ll enjoy using them together as a set.

As you carry this techo with you through the year, we hope it becomes filled with your own Unforgettable Moments.

    Why You’ll Love It

    • A painting you can pocket: You carry a scene of soft spring light, fresh green shade and drifting soap bubbles wherever you go, and the canvas-textured cover gives gently under your thumb rather than staying stiff and formal.
    • A week you can take in at a glance: The left page lays your whole week out horizontally, so you never lose track of what is coming, while the right page stays blank graph paper for whatever the week decides to throw at you.
    • Wallet-sized, and it stays open: It slips into a coat pocket or a small bag, and the thread-stitched binding lies flat at 180 degrees, so you don’t have to wrestle the pages down to write.
