We have created a techo cover named Folio, meaning “folded in two”. It’s a cloth book cover style that slips right onto the Hobonichi Techo book: simply slide the front and back covers of the book into the sleeves, and you’re set. Thin, light, and easy to hold, it’s a design that pursues pure simplicity.

The cover is made from a thick, firm cotton fabric treated with a polyurethane coating. The result is smooth to the touch yet impressively durable.

The left sleeve has one card pocket, and the cover comes with a single bookmark a minimal setup by design. Rather than a built-in pen holder, the Folio cover comes with a dedicated elastic band. A natural leather patch stamped with “HANDWRITE” holds one thicker pen, while the elastic loop can hold a slimmer one. You won’t have to worry about your techo falling open inside your bag.

The striking blue colour evokes the image of the ocean. On the spine, the message “YOU WRITE. YOU DRAW.” is accompanied by an illustration of a sailing ship. Like navigating the voyage of life with your own hands, open your blank techo and let your pen move freely across the page.
