Hibiscus Purple Purple Rose of Sharon is a beautiful deciduous shrub admired for its striking single flowers in rich shades of purple, each with a contrasting deep red centre. Flowering from mid-summer through to autumn, it provides a vibrant and reliable display of colour when many other shrubs have finished flowering. Unlike many flowering shrubs, Purple Rose of Sharon naturally develops a narrow, upright, columnar shape rather than spreading widely, making it an excellent choice wherever space is limited. Use it for narrow screens, hedges, along fences, beside patios or even in containers anywhere you need a splash of colour and privacy without taking up too much room.

Soil: Well-drained soil.

Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Drought, frost and coastal tolerant.
