Like its namesake, Camellia japonica Bob Hope is a true garden star admired for its large, showy, deep red semi-double blooms that shine with bright yellow stamens. The rich flowers contrast beautifully against the lustrous, dark green foliage, creating an elegant display from mid-winter through to early spring. This evergreen shrub forms a dense, rounded shape and is equally at home as a feature plant, hedge, or flowering screen, adding year-round structure and a burst of seasonal colour to shady garden areas.

Soil: Moist, well-drained, acidic soil rich in organic matter.
