The Full Moon Maple, also known as the Peacock Maple or Downy Japanese Maple, is a graceful deciduous tree prized for its spectacular seasonal colour and elegant form. Native to the cool mountain forests of Japan, Korea and Manchuria, it features distinctive rounded, deeply lobed leaves that resemble the shape of a full moon. Throughout spring and summer, the lush green foliage creates a soft, tranquil canopy before transforming into a breathtaking display of fiery oranges, crimson reds and rich scarlets in autumn. With a broad, spreading habit, the Full Moon Maple makes a stunning feature tree for gardens where its brilliant autumn colour can be fully appreciated.
