The Penco Tape Dispenser Small is rather like a good cup of teaunpretentious, practical, and quietly essential. Crafted from solid steel with a robust hammertone finish, it resists scratches and rust with admirable stoicism. Its compact size fits neatly on your desk without dominating proceedings, yet its industrial charm is unmistakable.

Designed for masking tape (up to 2.0 cm wide and 5.0 cm in diameter), its as capable as it is compact. A screw hole in the base lets you fix it to a wall or deskbecause sometimes tape should stay put, even when you dont. Available in five subtly utilitarian colours, including a not-quite-yellow ivory that wouldn’t look out of place in a design studio circa 1974. Comes boxed in charming craft packaging, complete with illustrative guidance. Quite the thoughtful gift, if youre feeling generous. Theres also a large version for wider rolls, should your taping ambitions expand.)
